Accept Challenges and Smile

Kalli Laskari:

30 days ago I accepted the 30 Days Blogging Challenge to write a new article every day on my blog. Writing was always a loving habit for me but never before did I have had the obligation to write daily and systematically. The challenge hit a nerve! Before even thinking about it twice, I jumped into this daily blogging marathon and start writing day after day.

I started very energetically and decisively.

I don’t consider myself a blogger. I’m a Life Coach and my main job is focused on my teams and my professional sessions. Sharing my thoughts on “digital paper” gave me a supportive channel of creative expression.

The things I learned in this creative journey were unexpected and well received! It started like a funny and pleasant game but ended up as a stepping stone to something new for my business development.

What I have learned so far

Kalli Laskari:

From the very beginning, one of the things that I knew wouldn’t be easy, was the struggle to find new and interesting topics for my daily blogging.

Every morning I had to find a new idea to develop.

Every day, my concern was forcing my hands to type new posts and keep the attention of my readers undivided.

My fear started to fade out as the days passed by… What impressed me most was how much easier it felt every new day. Although I was starting my days with these familiar stop phrases: “Today I do not know what to write,” the evenings were always joyful as 700 words were smiling through my laptop screen.

There was a point when inspiration and the urge to write weren’t an issue anymore, on the contrary, I was looking for a good reason to stop writing. When I started, I didn’t want to stop.

Support is Priceless

Kalli Laskari:

The second thing that impressed me was the support of the people around me. I kept silent every time they asked me “How did you decide that?”

Facing your own limits is scary!

Accepting challenges feels like facing your own dark dragons. But this is how I feel… I need this process of personal development and growth.

But I wasn’t alone. I was thrilled with the fact that so many stood by my side. Reading my posts, commenting, and sharing on their social media accounts… It was very encouraging. The support network around us is essential for the success of every effort.

I also learned that in order to achieve something so out of your comfort zone, it demands organization, patience, and persistence. My organizational skills are not my strong point…

I am impulsive and this has cost me so far some victories, but on the other hand, it is my strength because it helped me to overcome my personal limitations and dive deep fearlessly. Patience and persistence, however, I have plenty.

At the end of the day, perfection is not the ultimate goal. The more you walk on this path the better you became! Practice makes perfect.

A comma here or an exclamation point there does not make a huge difference. It is more important to speak from your heart, to be yourself, and to finish your thoughts. Shift your interest and talk about things that touch and concern other people, too. Adding positive vibes, and closing posts with a warm smile became so natural and satisfying.

Did I make it to the finish line?

Kalli Laskari:

It depends on how you see it. If I count my articles then my 20 posts are 10 less than the original goal of writing 30 articles in a month. But if I compare my previous blogging experience then my 20 new articles are the definition of a personal record!

It is the first time that I managed to create 20 new articles in such a short period of time. I used to write 1 or 2 articles per month, so this is a moment to celebrate! Yes!!!

I managed to gather my thoughts together and write 20 articles full of my personal and professional approach. I shared with the public essential principles of my work on a variety of topics regarding self-evolution.

It was a wonderful journey of self-awareness! Here are my 20 articles:
