You may have already tried ChatGPT, or you may be wondering how Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity differ. More importantly, you may want to understand where these tools could fit into your own work and daily life.

AI in Action & In Real Life

On Sunday, 18 October 2026, Areti Vassou will be at ArtLab ThinkOfSerifos for “AI in Action: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini & Perplexity”, a free, three-hour workshop for women, held as part of The A40s’ supporting activities around The A40s Forum on Gendered Ageism, “An (Un)suitable Age for Women”. We will spend those three hours working with the tools, asking questions and exploring their answers together. You do not need previous experience with AI. Curiosity and a willingness to try are enough.

How to Use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity for Everyday Tasks

A useful starting point is something you actually need to do. Perhaps you want to research a subject, organize scattered notes, draft a text or compare different approaches to a question. Working with a familiar task makes it easier to see where an AI tool helps, where its answer falls short and what you need to ask next.

During the workshop, we use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity to search for information, organize our thoughts, write and compare responses. We will explore how the same question can produce different answers and how adding context, clarifying what we need or asking a follow-up question can change the result. The aim is to leave with practical experience you can build on, along with a clearer sense of which tools you would like to explore further.

A Better Question Can Change the Answer

In my work with content, search and AI visibility, I see how much depends on understanding the question before trying to answer it. The same principle gives us a useful starting point with AI. What are we trying to achieve? Who is the text for? What information does the tool need from us, and what should we check before using its response?

We work through these questions in practice, make adjustments, and compare what happens. We will also discuss how to approach an answer critically, recognize when it needs checking, and decide whether it serves the task we had in mind. A fluent response can be a starting point, but our judgment remains part of the process.

How To Make it Easier to Ask, Experiment and Discuss

Learning a new tool is easier when there is room to say, “I do not understand this yet.” There is always enough time to ask questions, try different approaches, and talk openly about what excites us or makes us hesitant about AI.

You are welcome whether this is your first encounter with these tools or you have already experimented and want more direction. Bring the questions that matter to you, along with your laptop and its power cable, so you can take part in the exercises.
