About WordCamp Europe

WordCamp Europe is one of the largest WordPress conferences in the world. It is an annual event that aims to create and strengthen connections between the growing local European WordPress communities.

The event is hosted in a different European city each year and is organized by a group of volunteers from the WordPress community. The event includes two conference days and a separate Contributor day, where people gather to contribute back to the WordPress Open Source Project.

Following five previous editions in Leiden in 2013, Sofia in 2014, Seville in 2015, Vienna in 2016 and Paris in 2017, WordCamp Europe 2018 will take place in Belgrade, Serbia on 14-16 June 2018 at Sava Centar, Milentija Popovića 9, Belgrade.

Getting to Belgrade

You can easily get to Belgrade by airplanetrainbus and car.  There are direct flights from most major European cities and Belgrade is also connected by direct flights from Asia, Africa (Tunis) and North America (New York).

For those closer, there are frequent trains from other European capitals – Vienna, Budapest, Zagreb and Sofia (to name a few) – so you could combine your journey by traveling to a nearby European capital by airplane, and then continuing to Belgrade by train.

Those who like traveling by road can choose between coming to Belgrade via bus or in their own car.

FAQ

When are you publishing the schedule?

WordCamp Europe: We have received a large number of speaker applications this year. With so many applications, the speaker selection process will take the entire month of February. In March we will start contacting speakers, and we will start announcing them at the end of March or beginning of April. So, before April we won’t be able to post a schedule. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter or subscribe to our newsletter (at the bottom of this page) to stay up-to-date with our news.

Can I get an invitation letter?

WordCamp Europe: If you want a letter of invitation in order to support a Visa application then we are happy to supply you with one. Please complete the form on this page and allow up to 5 working days for us to process it. Make sure you enter all the necessary information before contacting us, as without that we cannot help you.
