I see the smile on your face. You have something great to share with the WordPress community? I know that you are just looking for a good reason to apply for a speaker slot. And the reason is that we are all crazy with WordPress!

The organizing team has extended the deadline up to September 2nd. This task has carried away all of them because they want to handpick the best topics for the upcoming WordCamp Thessaloniki 2019 list of speeches.

Please, fill in the form HERE in order to send them your presentation proposal for WordCamp Thessaloniki 2019. If you wish, you can send more than one proposal.

Please, make sure that you have read the code of conduct for participating in a WordCamp first as well as general instructions for applying as a speaker. The organizing team will try to contact you shortly.

  • The call for speakers of WordCamp Thessaloniki will expire on September 2nd 2019.
  • All submissions will receive a reply by September 4th 2019, whether they are accepted or not.

Ideas for Topics

The Call for Speakers #WCThess2019 seeks:

People who love their work and carry it out with care and craftsmanship, experienced individuals who possess a deep knowledge of their field, and finally, those who have a knack for public speaking. We just seek people who can tell a beautiful story!

Examples of the themes they seek are (non exclusively):

  • The basics (for novices and professionals)
  • Web development, website building
  • Web Design (HTML, CSS, JS, front-end)
  • Design (UI/UX, typography)
  • Blogging, content creation, journalism
  • Marketing, branding, strategy
  • Something new, that we do not know about yet

Get an idea from last year’s WordCamp. During WordCamp Thessaloniki 2018 the speakers shed light on a variety of topics. You can see the videos with all the presentations and get your inspired for your topic.

Nikos Giannopoulos analyzed why WP REST API is very important and how we can take advantage of it and why WordPress as part of a service is an important addition. He talked to the audience about the disadvantages and benefits of using WordPress to develop services, even mentioning some non-label examples of using WordPress in unusual tasks.
