You will agree if you know IDEADECO TEAM: We know how to party! This year, we’re planning the party for my amazing copywriting team—a New Year’s Eve celebration bursting with nostalgia, laughter, and a lot of sparkle!

Inspired by the fabulous Style Concept Event Solutions article How to Throw a New Year’s Eve Party, we’re going all in with a Back to the 80s Disco theme for our big bash. Let me tell you, planning this has been as exciting as working on one of our most creative campaigns!

Back to the 80s Disco A New Year’s Party to Remember

Who Said That December 31st Can’t Be Spectacular?

Hosting a party for 36 people at my home was a bit of a challenge, so we turned to one of our wonderful clients, who graciously offered us their stunning villa near Sounio. Close your eyes and picture this: a glamorous space transformed into a vibrant disco haven—mirror balls, neon lights, and glitter galore.

The villa owner loved the concept so much that he decided to join us, promising to show off his legendary dance moves. After all, living in Paris for so many years has its perks—he’s got the style and the moves to match! Philip, I am going to have my camera ready!!!

Everyone is invited to dress the part: bold colors, big hair, sparkly outfits, and—of course—shoulder pads! The villa’s sprawling living room will feature a mini dance floor with a DIY light-up floor for an authentic disco vibe. All our 50+ will show you how it’s done.

Our evening will kick off with a groovy playlist of 80s hits. Think Madonna, Prince, The Bee Gees, and all those songs that make it impossible to sit still. For dinner, we’ll dive into retro appetizers, a decadent cheese fondue station, and some “fancy” 80s-inspired cocktails. The pièce de résistance? A cake shaped like a cassette tape, because when we go back to the 80s, we go all in!

And when the clock strikes midnight, we’ll raise our glasses, light sparklers, and unleash glitter cannons. Because let’s face it—nothing says “hello, 2025!” quite like a shimmering celebration!

Good morning, January 1st

The party won’t stop at midnight. The following day, we’ll welcome the New Year with a cozy disco pajamas brunch at the villa. On the menu: homemade waffles, fresh fruit, and, of course, lots of coffee to keep us going. We’ll unwind with board games, share our personal goals for the year, and reflect on the fun memories we’ve created. One tip: NOONE will use smartphones – we will stay off the grid.

Why the 80s?

The Style Concept Event Solutions article sparked the idea of choosing a theme that’s as joyful and creative as our team. The 80s represent bold self-expression, unapologetic fun, and many heart—values that mirror our copywriting adventures.

Dare to Have Fun & Enjoy Life

To my incredible team: Get ready to laugh, dance, and make memories that will last a lifetime. And to all of you reading this, let our celebration be a reminder to embrace creativity and joy in everything you do.

Let’s dance into 2025 with open arms and disco moves!

Cheers,
Areti & Team
