We are here today thanks to the strength of all our grandmothers and great grandmothers. They had sacrificed their own lives and had endured enormous abuse. These not famous women managed to build a world where we (women) can decide for ourselves, today. We are free to vote, to own property, to get an education, to own our money, to get a divorce, to marry the person we choose, to get into politics and so many other things thanks to our grandmothers.
My grandmother was born in 1895, never went to school, gave birth to 11 children, her husband was killed, she managed (alone) to keep most of her children alive through WW, she learned to write her name when she was 85 and was always smiling and loving to all her grandchildren. My grandmother is one of the women that made it possible for all of us to celebrate #IWD2020 today.
Our grandmothers are the women that made it possible for all of us to celebrate #IWD2020 today. Don’t forget the women that history books neglect to recognize.
We support women entrepreneurs
Words by @monikakritikou: Women’s Day is here today and I want to celebrate the power of women in all the Business spheres. I want to show the female face of entrepreneurship. There are several ways to support fellow women entrepreneurs and my way is through a professional photography portrait for one lucky lady.
